Megatron reveals the contents of the Golden Discs to him, showing that it was (the original) Megatron’s will that Megatron be there doing what he is doing. Ravage, still beholden to the original Megatron millenia after the warlord’s demise, decides to help Megatron in his plans. It’s not about power, but about loyalty, as shown by Ravage’s final words–”Decepticons forever!”
